Middle Eastern Geodatabase for Antiquities Set Up to Preserve Jordan’s Treasures
MEGA-J, a bilingual Arabic-English web-based geographic information system is being developed by the Getty Conservation Institute in collaboration with consultant Farallon Geographics, Inc. MEGA-J will not only play an important role in preserving Jordan’s archaeological treasures but will also serve as the prototype model for a similar system to be undertaken in Iraq.
