California State Automobile Association phasing out paper map making
The California State Automobile Association is phasing out it’s carography division. The exist is part of a technological transformation remaking the map field. Digital direction-finding tools, particularly Internet maps and in-car navigation systems, are drawing growing numbers of users at the expense of paper road maps. Dennis Wuthrich, CEO of Farallon Geographics was interviewed by the San Francisco Chronicle in order to get a better understanding of the new web and mobile mapping tools available to users.
