Farallon Plant GIS solution is a geospatial Rich Internet Application for viewing wastewater treatment plant infrastructure and accessing all associated information including drawings, construction documents, work order information, plant processes, and asset condition data.

The application acts as a centralized resource for accessing data, simplifying information retrieval, editing maps & features and sharing information between engineers, technicians, and supervisors. It is extremely easy to use and is designed to reduce capital improvements outlay, as well as operation and maintenance costs.

The system can be tightly integrated with existing business systems such as SharePoint Document Management System, Hansen Asset Management System, Wastewater Asset Management databases and existing GIS infrastructure.

The application is written in .NET, and uses Farallon's web application framework that is based on GIS standards and Open Source libraries. This approach results in a highly robust, flexible, and cost-effective technical platform upon which to build and extend the Plant GIS solution.
