In this talk he’ll share how and why we developed Arches, an open source asset management system designed to address the particular challenges of managing cultural heritage (and other complex) data. The talk with focus on what Caltrans is doing to meet its obligations under HPMS (Highway Performance Management System) and how road inventory and road condition data will transition from the local to the federal level.
