Santa Clara County Assessor Office Online Tax Assessment Viewer

Farallon GIS and Location Technology Case Study

Challenge
Santa Clara County houses some of the world's leading technology firms. With the technology boom in the late 90s there was a surge in population and the housing market. Santa Clara County needed an accessible and intuitive way for both County staff and home-owners to access property data while also managing the influx of people visiting the County offices.

Solution
Farallon built and deployed an Oracle 9i database that provides access to over 2 million records related to property values, tax assessments, situs addresses, and tax rate areas for the entire Santa Clara County. By designing a web application with a user-friendly interface, the Assessor's Office Assessment Roll Information Inquiry and Retrieval application, both County staff and County residents can access up-to-the-minute property assessment information for the current and past three tax years without ever having to go to the County Assessor's office.   Read more details...
